Indigenous Beading Circle – Kelowna Art Gallery
Join us on a selected Saturday of each month from 1 to 4 pm for our community Indigenous Beading Circle, where we spend an afternoon of beading and knowledge sharing. Anyone who would like to learn more about beadwork, practice their own beadwork, or meet other members of the beading community is welcome to join.
The Indigenous Beading Circle has been created with the intention of welcoming both Indigenous and non-Indigenous creatives of all skill levels to join in a safe and creative space for open discussion and knowledge sharing. This is not an instructor-led class, however group leaders and others with experience will be participating and will be happy to share tips and techniques.
The Indigenous Beading Circle is open to the public, but pre-registration is recommended as spaces are limited.
Some supplies will be available for communal use, but we encourage attendees to bring their own supplies. The suggested cost per participant is $20 which can be paid at the front desk upon arrival, this fee aids in supporting the cost of the program. This program is free for Indigenous participants.
