The 12th Okanagan Granfondo ranks as one of North America’s premier cycling events that attracts recreational, elite and pro cyclists for an epic weekend of road cycling in the heart of British Columbia’s Okanagan wine country. Cyclists can choose from one of four distances, with each distance starting and finishing in Penticton, Canada.
It’s an entire weekend of cycling, family fun, and Okanagan sunshine. The 10th edition will feature pre- and post-ride activities that ensure the safety for participants, friends and families.
The Ride
Some cyclists will ride casually. Others will race. The beauty of the Okanagan Granfondo (OG) is that everyone will finish in Penticton with a smile on his/her face. Choose from one of four distance categories – Granfondo, Velocefondo, Mediofondo and Cortofondo (all distances at this point are approximate).
Kid’s Piccolofondo
The Okanagan Granfondo presents the free Piccolofondo for kids under 5 (run bikes) through to 12 years-of-age. Kids will participate on a 400 m to 5 km circuit, while parents cheer them on as they loop past Okanagan Lake.
