The Future of Black Histories: Uplifting Black Youth Voices

February 9 @ 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The Future of Black Histories: Uplifting Black Youth Voices

History does not stay in the past. The present is shaped by history, and the present determines the future. Accordingly, Black youth are central to the future of Black History.

Join Kelowna Museums at the Laurel Packinghouse for a panel discussion between Tasia Valencia, Dr. Girvan, and Dr. Asiyanbi. Listen to diverse perspectives on topics such as Black erasure in the Okanagan and the role of IBPOC youth in climate justice. This generative and critical event is open to the community by donation. Light refreshments will be served.
